Ms. Pigg

It was a dark and stormy night when Ms. Pigg woke up from her nap, and her cable went out. She was so bored that she decided to play her sousaphone in the lobby of watershed heights. With her instrument case open wide on the floor, she was waving to people that passed by. If nobody walked by within 30 minutes she would stroll around town playing her sousaphone. Wherever there was a crowd of people on the side of the street she would stop, play, and open up her sousaphone case for tips.
Ms. Pigg wandered to the records store with her sousaphone, umbrella, and sousaphone case. She was trying to buy the new "Islands" cd because the reviews have been really good. Luckily she got the last copy and ran straight home to listen to it. After she heard every song three times she walked back downstairs to the lobby. Once there she played and waved to people walking by.

  1. I walk down the eight flights of stairs rolling my eyes at Ms. Pigg as she plays her sousaphone and waves to everyone she sees.

  2. Time: 11:30 am
    Location: Watershed Heights Lobby
    Temperature: 23° Celsius
    Humidity: 24%

There's some crazy woman being eaten by an instrument in the lobby. I don't care if she waves at me, I'm not going to wave back. She could be unstable.

  3. And did I tell you that as soon as I got off the school bus today, I had to head to see Ms Pigg for my weekly sousaphone lesson? I really actually like the sousaphone (believe it or not!). Ms. Pigg is really a bore though. Sometimes, if I play well, she allows me to watch tv. However, not today because of the bad storm we had last night; it turned off her cable.

  4. As she made her way to the front of the building she smiled at Ms. Pigg making sure to return her enthusiastic wave.

  5. Somehow, I can hear this drone in my room. It isn't me. I'm not crazy, I can tell if I'm crazy. It must be something else. The sound is much louder out of my room. It seems to be coming from outside. I go outside to discover the source. It is only another resident of the apartment. She seems very odd with her bronze device and the sound it makes is interesting to say the least. I can feel my body vibrate with the sound it makes. Odd. Such a sound would have to have a force, much like high pitch noises being able to break glass. Though the chances of her device causing this reaction seems to be slim because of the variation of the type of sound. I walk down Calloway to get away from the strange thought of sound.

  6. As I reached for the handle, in came Ms. Pigg. Practically thrusting herself everywhere with the wet from the outdoors, she barged into the building. The slow motion of the rain flinging off her body paralyzed me in my place.

  7. I headed home a little early today. Apparently, nobody was hungry. Maybe they were all having a party and didn't invite me (which wouldn't bode well for them in Heaven. Everyone knows that nuns can party with the rest of 'em). Anyways, I was about to go into Watershed Heights when I heard the faint sound of a tuba in the distance. Sousaphone, I guess you'd call it. I wandered around in search of the sound, when I saw a woman playing the giant instrument, her case set out next to her in hopes to collect a few dimes. Poor woman! That's no way to make a living. She'll throw her back out before she sees her first dollar! I sat and listened to her for a while, and she looked at me as though she was asking for money. I didn't have any. Habits don't have pockets (which is unfortunate, because that defeats the purpose of the pocket Bible I got when I left the Abby).Perhaps I'll come back tomorrow with a few dollars for her. That'd just make her day, wouldn't it?

  8. After dirtying up her wardrobe, face, and hands she stood up and looked around. She heard the sound of a horn being played. She looked toward watershed heights and saw a woman playing a sousaphone. She walked over toward the building, and as she was walking she noticed that the woman was also waving to the people passing by. The woman waved at Nic. I guess this is a good place to start, she thought as she walked closer to the woman, the sound of the horn getting louder and louder. She approached the woman, outstretched her hand, and asked, "Can you spare some change?"...

  9. I awoke in the night, startled by some sound that has since passed. I had been dreaming of the odd lady who I had seen playing a sousaphone. She was playing away, as content as could be, but it was snowing outside, in the middle of winter, and snow covered everything around her in at least 4 inches. Nobody else was outside, and yet she played on, not to be distracted.

  10. Earlier in the day a swinish-looking woman came by and asked me if I was lost. I said, quite simply, "Yes." The swinish-looking lady looked a bit like she didn't know how to respond. I thought she looked quite swinish. I would never say such a thing, of course, but my thoughts are my own. Finally, she said, "My name is Ms. Pigg." I snorted. Oh the irony of life. The "parallelism." Attempting to hide my giggles, I said in a flat voice, "Nice to meet you. My name's Leeroy."

  11. Soon bored with my thoughts, I decided to leave my depressing excuse for a home in search of a job. As I walked down to the lobby, I saw an odd woman playing a large instrument. "What the hell?" I thought. This place was just getting weirder.

  12. She ran into someone. It was that weird lady who always carried a sausophone. "Don't they have retirement homes anywhere around here. People shouldn't be allowed to wonder around half-crazy like that," Chaz mumbled.
She stepped around her and kept going. She didn't bother to stop for anyone else. Chaz thought this place was peculiar enough already, and that was being nice!

  13. Work starts at 8. The train takes about an hour, on a good day, and getting ready takes just a few minutes. Usually, I have to be awake by 7:45. It's not all that early, but I've never been a morning person... Not to mention I lost track of the night around 4 AM. In the distance, i hear a deep, brassy sound from out of my window. Ms. Pigg. She is so desperate for attention, searching for people to listen to her play her "Sousaphone." At least she cares about something... My head is still swirling from the night before, and the slightly out-of-tune attempts at music aren't helping me straighten myself up.
